Guave pink & white
The vitamin C bomb!
Guava has been known and loved for many years as a source of vitamin C. Its typically exotic flavor is most accurately described as a mixture of pear, fig, and quince. The flesh is extremely sweet and the aroma distinctly tropical.
Product developers also value its high pectin content, which significantly improves the cloud stability of the finished products. There are also differences in color. Guavas from India are generally white whereas the South African variety is salmon-colored and the Brazilian is bright pink.
