Cranberry
A red berry that’s often confused with lingonberries.
Sour, aromatic cranberries are much larger than lingonberries and belong to the blueberry family. Their name originated with early American settlers who called them “crane berries” because the filaments on the blossoms formed a beak that looked like a crane’s. Cranberries are thought to have healing properties but, of course, you don’t have to be sick to love these flavorful berries.
