Soursop (Guanabana)

Under pressure they turn to mush – but only as fresh fruit.

That’s why you can’t buy soursop at the supermarket. Because of their sensitivity to pressure, the large, heavy berries aren’t transported over long distances.

In its country of origin, soursop is very often eaten – and, of course, drunk – with dairy products. A fabulous combination. We think so, too! The flavor of the white flesh is so uniquely exotic that it’s hard to provide a suitable description. At best we could say its taste is similar to that of an excellent pineapple lassi.
